The Daily Monitor reports important information deriving from European, Asian and North American financial markets and is usually distributed before the European markets open, in order to facilitate the orientation for the trading day ahead. It provides an outlook on the major economic releases and individual companies news with a focus on Swiss stocks. It is prepared by the trading team of our Zurich branch which handles the Banks Swiss exchange operations.

This publication is a compilation of international economic and financial research, whose objective is to frame with precision where the consensus stands. Once it is identified, investors may decide to go along with it or against it.

Once a month our investment committee compiles our leading research document, in which our yearly macroeconomic investment scenario is either comforted or discarded because of unexpected events. Such research paper dictates our investment recommendations on bond, equity, currency markets and paves the way for the selection of investment products (ETF, Hedge Funds, Structured products, etc.).

Financial markets offer investment opportunities whenever they correct sharply for various reasons – economic, valuation, fears, etc. - and enable investors to acquire various financial instruments at a discounted price. These investment ideas are for the long-term investors who are willing to hold the recommended shares for several years without fretting about short-term price volatility.

Our investment team selects from our global investment strategy a number of themes, which could be rewarding from mainly macro-reasons. Cyclical themes are generally not selected because of their limited time span. But structural themes are being preferred in order to position early for outsize long-term returns. Such themes are very often not correlated in the short-term with financial markets and from that standpoint act as powerful performance stabilizers by diminishing volatility.
