As ardent admirers of the Arts, it is natural that we decided to work with some of the leading actors of the local and international art scene by bringing our contribution to the production of a number of major cultural events.
Our commitment to put forward the creativity and the cultural innovation which strives for excellence and promotes the development of the Swiss art scene is mainly built around a partnership with the three following institutions:
MAH - Musées d'art et d'histoire
The Musée d’art et d’histoire is one of the largest museums in Switzerland. Rich with more than 650’000 objects including major creations and unique series, it reveals, on five different floors, some of its collections dedicated to the applied arts, fine arts and archeology. Every year, the museum also presents around ten temporary exhibitions ranging from Picasso to Roger Pfund through Akhenaton on the five different sites of its museum network.
Our annual partnership with The Musée d’art et d’histoire is expressed by the contribution of our institution to the production of major exhibitions such as “The enchantment of the landscape in the time of Jean-Jacques Rousseau” celebrating the tercentenary of the birth of the writer, or “Gustave Courbet – the Swiss years” presenting the artist’s works painted during his exile in Switzerland.
ART for The World
ART for The World is a non-governmental organization founded to build a bridge between art and society, with contemporary art serving humanitarian purposes.
Inspired by the Article 27 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, “Everyone has the right to take part freely in the cultural life of the community, [and] to enjoy the arts,” ART for The World aims to engage art as an important tool for fostering dialogue among diverse peoples, cultures, and worldviews to encourage tolerance and solidarity in the defence of human rights, underlying the importance of the relationship between the artist and the most compelling issues of our time.
In conceiving its international traveling art exhibitions, performances, film productions, and concerts, the NGO merges ethics with aesthetics to build cross-cultural relationships and promotes education, well-being, and sustainability.
Conceived as a museum without walls, ART for The World is a collaborative effort with the participation of artists, international institutions and corporations from all corners of the globe sharing these underlying ideals.
Biennale Images Vevey
Festival Images Vevey is Switzerland’s first visual arts biennale. Every other year, the festival features unique large-scale photography exhibitions in the streets of Vevey as well as a series of exhibitions in indoor venues, and presents the winning project of the international photography competition Grand Prix Images Vevey.
As official partner we are contributing to make possible the creation of this unique event.
